The complete version is suitable for those schools and colleges marking students' work directly on the network.

This is a more sophisticated system and the setup is nesessarily more complex for this, so I will provide full instructions, including videos, on the CD.

Teachers have one interface (all the teachers can use it at the same time obviously) and students have another interface (and they can all access that at the same time).

This does all that the basic version does, plus

  1. The webpage portfolios remind the students what they need to do for each level, and which documents they need.
  2. Linking their evidence to the criteria clarifies what they still need to do for each level.
  3. The consistent placement of portfolios and database criteria makes it easy for them to go from one to the other, and
  4. completing the links also seems to give the students a sense of achievement, which is compounded when they acheive 100%.
  5. The marking system links directly to the students' portfolios
  6. so the teacher
  7. and the Team Leader
  8. and the Moderator
  9. can get to the work immediately (a few clicks).
  10. The whole class
  11. can access the feedback,
  12. at the same time
  13. to see how what level they have achieved
  14. and how they can get to the next level,
  15. and see specifically
  16. what is missing and
  17. what needs work
  18. and what is done.
  19. Students can see your individual comments
  20. and can respond individually to you
  21. in ways that they might not verbally in the class (I have found)
  22. which helps build good relationships.
  23. They can also give you feedback
  24. on what they have improved
  25. to help target
  26. and hugely speed up your re-marking and
  27. save you having to mark their whole project again
  28. and again
  29. and again.
  30. It will tick lots of boxes with Leadership
  31. and with OFSTED
  32. but maybe best of all, it will tick lots of boxes in the students' minds, because they know you are giving them personal feedback and advice.
